EHSAN ZAREH
ART & CHARACTER DESIGN
I’m very lucky to have been born into a family of artists (except for my Dad). Thanks to my older siblings, my young and hungry mind was feasting on the art they created. Their creations helped plant the seeds of my own artistic inclinations, pushing me to develop my own style and tastes - mainly involving gross monsters and fantasy-like creatures.
As someone who struggled with traditional painting, drawing became the quickest way to materialize the expansive universes that would clog up my mind. And although I abandoned the arts for a while during high school and my first attempt at a college degree in economics (in search of a more “by the books” life), I quickly ricocheted back to my old predisposition of constantly drawing. I can’t escape!
My preferred weapons of choice generally consist of pencil and fine black pens, but I have recently been exploring the digital world and animation - trying to learn new softwares and new mediums. Besides creatures, characters, and other concepts, I have also been working on storyboarding for short films, key framing, and fleshing out the world of an original project with lots of concept art.
