A BIT ABOUT EHSAN

Art has always been one of my pillars and much of my life has been spent exploring and rediscovering my love, and at times, frustrations, for the ever-growing medium that is art. My growth as a person is intrinsically tied to my growth as an artist.

I was born in the States to two lovely immigrant parents and lived there until the age of ten when I moved to Malaysia, my mother’s hometown, at around ten years old. This concoction of cultures at times felt very difficult to handle but the residue of my own personal understanding of self, heritage, family, language, and culture are ultimately the catalysts of my artistic expression now. The distilled and subtle hints of these ideas have seeped their way into my best and most personal works - where thematic undertones of my songs crash upon each other and stories in the worlds I create pose questions to self and faith. 

I’m passionate about art and I’m passionate about always learning. I try to explore different styles or mediums, rarely ever being truly satisfied with my creations unless I’m learning something. I have been drawing and playing music since a young age and am deeply intrigued by the idea that art and creativity are as expansive as the mind can be. I’m strong in sound design, character and world creation, storyboarding, music production, and most recently developing my directorial eye for film. 

I’m now based in London, UK, where I most recently completed my BA in Filmmaking, but I aim to eventually develop a strong film/game industry back home in Malaysia. For the time being you can find me somewhere along the road, growing both as a person and an artist.
